2nd May 2016 - Macmillan Marathon Man

Paul Ferry, Business Development Manager at Quest Employment took part in a half marathon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, Quests charity of choice.


The event took place at the MK Dons Stadium on 2nd May 2016. 


Paul finished at just under 2 hours and finished in position 760 out of 2219 runners. Excellent effort Paul, well done.

16th March 2016 - Easter Eggs donated to KGH

Quest Employment have donated 100 Easter Eggs to the children’s ward at Kettering General Hospital. 
Commercial Divisional Manager Andy Elmore from Kettering, made the presentation to Skylark Ward on March 16th. Pictured below are Skylark Ward patients Ashley Griffiths (9 months) and Tilly Stacey (two) receiving the donations from Mr Elmore.
This is the 3rd year where Quest Employment has donated 100 Easter Eggs to the Skylark Ward and we get more interest with the donation year on year.  Andy lives locally and knows what an amazing job they do for the children and what a worthy cause it is. We thought the Easter Eggs would help to cheer up the children who use the ward during that period.
KGH Play Co-ordinator Trish Brigden said: “We want to thank Quest Employment and Andy for supporting us with this very generous and timely donation. Easter Eggs are always very much appreciated by the children who need our support.”

12th September 2015 - Charity Golf Day in Pytchley

Andy Elmore in our Quest Commercial department took part in the Annual Charity Golf Day held in Pytchley near Kettering on Saturday 12th September. 


He joined forces with some fellow golf enthusiasts to raise money for Help for Heroes and The Samaritans.


The day was a huge success and even the British sunshine made a guest appearance! 


Andy's team finished 6th out of 13 and they raised just over £350 for their chosen charities.

23rd August 2015 - 1st Welland Valley Scout Group Duck Race Sponsorship

James Hunter in our Corby Branch is raising money for his Scout Group in Medbourne on 23rd August and Quest Employment have sponsored their Duck Race!


The day is due to be full of lots fun activities, raising money for a very worthy cause!

4th June 2015 - "Simply the Quest finished second!

Our team, "Simply the Quest", came SECOND out of 35 teams last night in the Leicester Gauntlet!


We won 4 out of 5 of the challenges to get down to the final 6.


The last challenge was a timed jousting competition and we were pipped to the post by less than 1 second!


AMAZING ACHIEVEMENT and Congratulations to Lee Calvert, Team Captain, Jason Cole, Jim Bluck Jordan Hobdey, Amber Webb and Dionne Newman.

27th April 2015 - Louisa McManus Cooked Up a Storm for Alzheimer's

Our resident chef in Head Office, Louisa McManus, cooked up a storm on 27th April and hosted a buffet for all staff at Head Office, Commercial branch and Northampton branch all with proceeds going to the Alzheimer's Society.


The food was delicious and she managed to raise a very healthy £135 for her charity, which is very close to heart. Well done Louisa!


25th April 2015 - Jim Bluck Cycled for Macmillan

Our Commercial Director, Jim Bluck, took on the "Dare2B" Rutland Cycle Challenge with his team the "Dawdling Domestiques". They rode a gruelling 104 miles and Jim even started the race next to Bradley Wiggins!


He managed to raise almost £500 for his chosen charity, Macmillan, and should feel very proud of himself for such a great achievement.


26th March 2015 - Even More Easter Eggs this year!

Our Commercial branch once again donated 100 Easter eggs to the Skylark Ward at Kettering General Hospital - KGH Play specialist Louise McKerral said: “We want to thank Quest Employment and Andy for supporting us over the last 2 years with this very generous and timely donation. Easter Eggs are always very much appreciated by the children who need our support.”


Our Bedford branch also got involved this year and contacted their local hospice to see how they could help. St John's Hospice in Bedford explained that they were holding their annual Easter Egg Hunt and so the Quest Bedford branch got involved and donated 300 eggs to this worthy cause, with a little help from our clients.


Thank you to all who helped us to achieve this, your involvement was greatly appreciated.

14th March 2015 - Dancing Dionne

Dionne was fundraising again this month for Cransley Hospice. She joined a team of ladies from Ladies First gym in Kettering to compete against 7 other teams in the Wicksteed Park "Strictly Got to Dance competition.


The team were crowned champions in the Dancing Competition and came 2nd overall to a team that had raised over £10,000 for this worthy charity.


A big well done to Dionne for her victory and also fundraising efforts that saw more than £6,500 raised.


24th January 2015 - Cardio Dionne

Our Commercial Specialist, Dionne Newman, was part of a team of 18 ladies who did a 12 hour cardio workout and between them they covered 1381km, which is roughly the distance from Kettering to Madrid!


Fantastic effort by all and the ladies raised nearly £5000 for the Cransley Hospice.

15th December 2014 - Christmas Jumper Day

Quest joined in the fun of Christmas Jumper Day and raised money for Macmillan.

11th April 2014 - Easter Egg Donation

Quest Employment donated 100 Easter Eggs to the children’s ward at Kettering General Hospital.


Commercial Divisional Manager Andy Elmore and his son Jak, 10, from Kettering, made the presentation to Skylark Ward on April 11.


Pictured here are Skylark Ward patients Isabel Bayes, five, from Irthlingborough, and Vihaan Gupta, two, receiving the donations.


Andy said: “Every year our company makes a donation of 100 Easter Eggs to a worthy cause and this year we chose Skylark Ward because my son Jak needed to visit the ward so we knew first hand what a good job they do. 30th March 2014 - Charly B Completes One True Grit

Charly Bonfield, our Business Development Manager decided to take on the One True Grit challenge for a charity that was close to her heart - Mind.


The challenge was a 10K obstacle course and Charly had to endure climbing 10 foot walls, dodging barbed wire, going through tunnels, scrambling cargo nets and lots more in what could only be described as a mud pit!


She did a fantastic job and finished the course in 1 hour 40 minutes.

22nd June 2013 - A Mountain for Macmillan!

Our team of 18 took on the Snowdon challenge on 22nd June 2013 and raised over £1600 for Macmillan.

With ailments ranging from bad backs and knees to a full on fear of heights, it wasn’t an easy challenge for anyone, so I am sure you will join us in congratulating the team for their efforts!




2nd June 2013 – Charity Car Boot Sale - £163.00

Becky, Vicki and Lynn did a Charity Car Boot sale on at Huntingdon Race course. 

Donations of things to sell were received from various people at Quest.

It was a really sunny day and they managed to raise a total of £160.  There is enough stuff leftover to do another one, so watch this space!!

21st May 2013 – Fancy Dress Sales Day - £64.50

Today we had a Fancy Dress Sales day in aid of Macmillan.  People were asked to vote for the winner, with each voter donating £1.

The winner was ‘Super Mario’ Tony, with ‘Brookeback Mountain’ Steve Brooke coming a close second.

11th May 2013 – Waendel Walk - £250.00

Jason Cole and his family took part in the 34th International Waendal Walk.  This is a 9 mile walk in the Wellingborough area.  Jason said it was a thoroughly enjoyable day and he would recommend it to anyone for next year!

4th May 2013 – 102 Mile Century cycle Challenge - £75.00

Jim Bluck took part in the Century Cycle Challenge 2013 on 4th May to raise money for "Macmillan"

It was 102 Miles of cycling in one day.  The team was, frankly, 10 fat blokes from the local pub and they were in the saddle for around 8 hours, from Nevill Holt and ending up back at Nevill Holt for a good old knee’s up!!


A big WELL DONE is in order (and a few beers to celebrate!)


23rd April 2013 – Red Day – St George’s Day - £50.17

We chose to celebrate St George’s Day with a charity Day at Quest.  Catherine and Barbara in Leicester held a Tea & cake day with homemade cakes.  In Head office they had lots of red food and drink, with Cherryade, red cupcakes, red shoelaces, Red chili crisps, and red pepper dips.

6th April 2013 – Grand National Sweepstake - £60.00

We decided to hold a Grand National Sweepstake in aid of Macmillan this year.  Each horse was £2, with the winner taking home £20, and the remaining £60 going to Macmillan.

The winning horse was ‘Auroras Encore’ and the Quest Winner was Lynn

17th March 2013 Go mad Go Green Day - £128.02


For St Patrick's Day we decided to hold a charity day with Donations for coming into work in casual clothes, preferably Green.  Head Office made lots of green cakes & biscuits.

March 2013 - Donating Time

2nd & 9th March 2013

Louisa and Becky at Head Office both responded to local appeals for people to donate their time to help collect for Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Great Daffodil Appeal.  Louisa collected at Sainsbury's in Milton Keynes on Saturday 2nd March and Becky collected at Wyevale Garden Centre in Northampton on Saturday 9th March. 

Both got to wear lovely outfits, and say that it was very worthwhile.

Their collection boxes were full by the end of the day.

1st March 2013 QUEST DAY - £148

Today is the official Quest 20th Anniversary and to start off our partnership for 2013 with Macmillan Cancer Care, we have decided to make today Quest Day.

Everyone has been asked to wear something Blue – The Quest corporate colour.  Donations have been requested of £1 for wearing blue and £2 if not wearing blue.

2012 Activities 

10K Charity Run - £778

Steve from Bedford completed a 10k run on September 16th in aid of Cransley Hospice.


Steve raised a total of £778


He will be entering again in 2013


106 Mile Cycle Ride - £6700

In May 2012, Jim Bluck was part of a team completing a 106 mile cycle ride in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust

They rode from Nevil Holt to Brancaster

A total of £6700.00 raised from the team

Total time was 6hrs 50 mins


Charity Skydive - £750

Becky & Vicki from Head Office did a tandem 13,000ft skydive on the 19th May 2012 raising £750 for The British Red Cross.  They say it was a fantastic experience and are currently discussing what to do next!
