Job Description:

My client is looking for a new member of their team to start as soon as possible. Working in an entrepreneurial team focusing on safety, quality, customer service and productivity supporting the day to day functions of the organization’s distribution and receiving UK activities. General hours of work will be 8.30am to 5pm depending on business needs. Free on-site parking is also offered.

Duties will include:
* Assisting with maintaining the order flow of all products.
* Provide support to manage the customer delivery process.
* Collaborating with and supporting site leadership to ensure that effective logistics related safety, security and regulatory training programs are maintained.
* In the absence of the Distribution Manager or at his/her direction balance labour, ensuring a balanced and efficient operation while meeting production goals.
* Completing risk assessments and all health and safety procedures for the premises.

Experience/ Qualifications Needed:
* Two+ years of experience in domestic and international shipping required.
* Prior Supervisory experience required, preferably in supply chain.
* GCSE or equivalent required. Sixth Form or University preferred.
* Trained fire Marshall or first aider would be a benefit

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal across all levels of the organization. including distribution personnel, logistics staff, project management staff
* Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to satisfactorily problem solve and prioritize with little guidance.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Solid computer skills required, with working knowledge of an electronic inventory control system highly desirable.
* Dependable, strong work ethic, interested in career development through assignments.
