Job Description:

My client, a local, independent company based in Kempston have an exciting new role working in their office as a co-ordinator. You will need to be a real "go-getter" with an outgoing personality and positive attitude.

Interviews will be held next week and an immediate start is available. Progression in the company along with pay rises will be encouraged for the right candidate.

Job Purpose:
To promote and encourage awareness of the product range within the flooring trade and other target markets. To provide a sales / technical support role to all prospects, and develop sales to achieve set targets with maximum profit. Secure major specifications.

KEY TASKS
* To run a daily Recall Listing from the Maximiser database & a co-ordinator record sheet.
* To telephone each company on the Recall Listing to obtain information and promote the range. Identify further opportunities within architects & Construction Companies and update Prospects with current projects & companies within that Group. Make appointments where necessary
* To receive incoming sales enquiries from existing customers and new prospects. As directed, assess requirements and provide quotations within required time frame in accordance with the status of the prospect (ie Principal Dealer, Contract Dealer or End User). All potential customers and a record of main specifications to be input onto the prospect database for future reference.
* Send company and product literature (including samples) where and when relevant or requested. Where possible direct the customer to our web site.
* To follow up quotations, tenders and information in line with recall list to promote range and secure Direct Purchase orders.
* To ensure all Sales orders and Purchase orders are loaded within 48 hours.
* To ensure all initial orders from all sectors are by Pro-forma invoice, subsequent orders can be taken on account subject to acceptable credit check. Any variation to the above must be referred to the General Manager.
* The Co-ordinator sheet is printed detailing calls made and calls received and passed to the Senior Co-ordinator, outlining no. of orders/quotes/effective calls. Accurate information to be updated on Prospects.
* Communicate & negotiate with Suppliers to develop opportunities and improve margins.
* To prioritise workload according to current targets and to achieve targets set.
* Deal with cancellations/customer complaints & liaise with relevant Depts/Mfrs.
* All communications relating to this Job Description, day to day queries, holidays, absences etc. are to be directed to the General Manager
* To carry out your role in maintaining the companies Quality System, by familiarising yourself with and adhering to the companies Quality Procedures.
* To be aware of the companies commitment to Investors in People, and to play your part in maintaining this commitment.
* To be mindful of company Environmental Statement in all actions carried out at work.
* Relationships: To liaise with the Team, Fitting and Suppliers.
* Discuss & share new ideas for development of the group.
