Job Description:

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Reception Manager to join a prestigious Hotel and Spa facility in Northamptonshire.

Salary - 22,000 p/a working 40 hours a week shift work between 07.00 and 23.00

Your job role will be to provide a constant point of reference for guests and colleagues, being hospitable, welcoming and knowledgeable.

You will ensure correct handling of cash and credit payments and constantly achieve the front desk, porterage, drivers, switchboard and duty managers service delivery standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities –
* Help create a team environment, promoting good morale and ensuring a high level of commitment and pride in the department within the hotel.
* Ensure effective communication within the team by holding regular meetings, reporting to the Reception Manager and implementing agreed actions.
* Be the front office representative for Health and Safety and attend regular meetings as set by the company, reporting back to the reception manager with any updates or concerns.
* To assist in the running of a profitable department, ensuring selling is maximised and budgets are achieved.
* To promote a helpful, caring and professional image to guests and staff.
* Assist the front office manager in the continuous development of front desk, porterage and switchboard training.
* Deal with rate checks, correspondence checks, billing accuracy and payment procedures.
* Ensure all tasks carried out by the reception team are done so by the required standard and ensure all reception checklists are completed.
* Ensure the highest yield is achieved through effective management of late bookings.
* Compile the rota on a weekly basis.
* Operating switchboard taking internal and external calls.
* Make sure the reception float is correct at all times.

You must have reception experience within a hotel environment, be a driver with your own vehicle and happy to work on a shift pattern, including weekends.
