Job Description:

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality and Approvals Engineer to join a world leading design and manufacturer of guitar amplifications, based in Northampton.

Salary - 25,000 - 30,000

Hours – Full time, Monday-Friday 8.00am – 5pm
Your role will be to maintain and update all quality, safety and approvals documentation and manage quality and approval issues regarding all products and processes.

Main duties and responsibilities –
* Dealing with all Quality and Approvals enquiries from dealers and distributors.
* Dealing with all Quality issues with any of the manufacturers or suppliers.
* Liaising with the Research and Development team to investigate and provide solutions for any quality issues raised.
* Maintain and update the companies in house computer system.
* Maintain and update all approvals documentation for products.
* Monitor quality and returns issues across all regions via contact with all export distributors.
* Produce regular reports on warranty and service returns and issues.
* Carry out regular quality audits at the UK warehouse.

Essential skills/Qualifications –
* Minimum grade C pass in GCSE Maths and English.
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
* Excellent written and communication skills.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and effective time management skills.
* Experience of the mass production of consumer electrical equipment.
* Knowledge of metal punching and plastic moulding tools.
* A good understanding of safety critical component and assembly processes.

Desirable but not essential skills/knowledge –
* A knowledge of CAD design packages such as AutoCAD and Cadstar.
* Knowledge of Audio, pro audio or guitar amplifier production.
* Quality and/or auditing qualification
* HND/HNC in electronics
