Sous Chef (Temp-to-Perm) – Hatfield Heath (CM22)

We’re working with a well-established, independent hotel and events venue in the Hatfield Heath area who are looking to bring in a Sous Chef-level professional to join their close-knit kitchen team on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a great opportunity for a reliable, hands-on chef who enjoys a mix of restaurant service and events, and wants to be part of a supportive, long-standing team.

The Role

  • Supporting the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations

  • Working across a mix of à la carte service, functions, and events

  • Helping maintain consistency, standards, and smooth service

  • Being a key part of a small, tight-knit brigade

What They’re Looking For

  • Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous/Senior CDP ready to step up

  • Experience in volume service and/or events/banqueting preferred

  • A team player with a positive attitude and good communication

  • Someone reliable, adaptable, and happy to get stuck in

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends

Pay & Details

  • Hourly rate dependent on experience

  • Temp-to-perm opportunity (12 weeks)

  • Weekly hours to be discussed at interview

  • Immediate start available
