Job Description:

Quest Employment are proud to be partnering with a well-established food manufacturing client based in Huntingdon.

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator, where you will be responsible for the daily operations of a designated production line/team within the Production Hall.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Through the PIT process, escalate and unresolved issues affecting line/team performance to the supervisor and carry out actions that have been agreed in order to correct any loses
- Ensure targets are met and any issues affecting this are escalated to the supervisor
- Monitor waste through mass balance reports
- Support the supervisor/production manager in efforts to improve this labour cost
- Be aware of despatch requirements
- Deviations from quality should actioned to minimise the risk of customer complaint
- Ensure production area is audit ready at all times
- Service the line and ensure all product/batch is cleared prior to starting the new product/batch
- Support the team in the implementation and improvement of procedures and processes to ensure required standards of work are met.
- Provide supporting evidence to supervisor/shift manager for all team appraisals
- Proactively engage the Team/Supervisor/ Production Manager with ideas for personal improvement
- Have an active role in the writing of line based SOPs, providing accurate information to ensure procedures are accurate
