Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operative to join our team. As a Machine Operative, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various fabrication and cutting tools to contribute to the production of high-quality metal products. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, a strong focus on health and safety, and a dedication to maintaining quality control standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor fabrication and cutting machinery in a safe and efficient manner

• Select appropriate cutting tools and materials for each project

• Ensure the quality of finished products through regular testing and quality control inspections

• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

• Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements

• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in the field

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Machine Operative, preferably in the metal fabrication industry, FLT experience/license preferred

• Proficient knowledge of cutting tools selection and operation

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Experience in quality control and testing is an advantage

• Training or certification in health and safety protocols is preferred

• Able to read drawings

Day-to-day

• Operating fabrication and cutting machinery

• Monitoring and adjusting machinery settings as needed

• Conducting quality control inspections

• Participating in training and development activities

• Collaborating with team members to optimize production processes
