Job Description

Quest Employment is currently recruiting for Chemical Production Operatives on behalf of a leading manufacturer based in Northampton.

This role involves batch mixing and chemical handling in a production environment, with a strong focus on health & safety, quality, and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Batch mixing of chemical products using site-specific processes

• Weighing, dispensing, and preparing materials for production

• Offloading tankers, including hazardous or flammable substances

• Performing stock checks and daily tank readings

• Ensuring adherence to Health & Safety and environmental procedures

• Carrying out quality inspections and in-process checks

• Completing batch documentation and entering data into stock control systems

• Participating in daily team meetings and improvement initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment

• Strong understanding of health, safety, and compliance protocols

• Competency with Microsoft Excel and Word

• Good numeracy, literacy, and record-keeping skills

• Strong teamwork and communication abilities

Desirable:

• Experience in a COMAH-regulated setting

• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems

• Valid FLT licence (preferred)

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday

• 13:50 – 00:00 (long weekends – Friday to Sunday off!)

Pay & Benefits:
