​Hygiene Operative
Full-time | Permanent | £12.21 per hour
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 06.00hrs to 14.00hrs (40 hours a week)

We’re looking for a Hygiene Operative to join our team, supporting the cleanliness and upkeep of mill equipment and facilities. You’ll play an important role in maintaining high hygiene standards and ensuring a safe working environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out hygiene and cleaning duties across production areas

• Following cleaning schedules and written/verbal instructions

• Safely isolating and locking off equipment as required

• Dismantling and reassembling equipment for deep cleaning tasks

• Reporting safety, quality, engineering or pest concerns promptly

• Returning tools, utensils and documents to the correct areas

• Handling chemicals in line with COSHH and PPE requirements

• Working efficiently to meet cleanliness expectations and deadlines

What we’re looking for

• Previous hygiene/cleaning experience, ideally within food production

• Level 2 Food Safety or HACCP desirable (COSHH training beneficial)

• Strong attention to detail, reliable and well-organised

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Good timekeeping and a positive approach to work

• Health and safety conscious with confidence to report issues
