Manufacturer Recall Technician – Stellantis Vehicles

Upper Heyford (Bicester, Oxfordshire)

Location

Upper Heyford, Bicester (Workshop-based)

Assignment Length

  • Approx. 900 hours total

  • Full-time

  • Estimated duration: 4–5 weeks

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday

  • 8 hours per day

Pay Rates

  • Level 2: £13.50 per hour

  • Level 3: £17.16 per hour

Job Purpose

To carry out manufacturer recall campaigns on Stellantis vehicles, ensuring all work is completed accurately, safely, and in line with manufacturer and company standards. The role includes software updates, inspections, and light mechanical work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete manufacturer recall work across Stellantis brands including Peugeot, Citroën, Vauxhall, DS and Fiat

  • Perform software updates and reprogramming using approved diagnostic systems

  • Carry out inspections and minor checks as specified in recall instructions

  • Undertake light mechanical work such as component replacement, adjustments, and basic repairs

  • Follow recall bulletins, technical instructions, and quality standards precisely

  • Accurately complete all documentation, job cards, and system updates

  • Conduct post-work checks to ensure all recall actions are completed correctly

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

  • Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures

  • Report any issues, delays, or technical concerns to the supervisor

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Basic mechanical or automotive experience

  • Confidence using computer-based systems

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to follow technical instructions

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Desirable:

  • Previous manufacturer recall experience

  • Experience working with Stellantis vehicles

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)

  • Full UK driving licence

Training

  • Full on-site training provided

  • Ongoing support from experienced technicians and supervisors

Health and Safety

  • Must comply with all Health and Safety regulations at all times

  • Use of PPE is mandatory where required

  • Responsible for reporting hazards or safety concerns immediately

Additional Information

A large portion of the work involves cambelt replacements. Candidates at Level 2 with recent cambelt experience will also be considered, even without diagnostic qualifications.
