Purpose of the Role
This is an ideal position for someone commercially sharp, relationship-led and hungry to drive growth. You’ll lead a small team, manage existing accounts, win new business and bring fresh ideas to push the commercial function forward.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Growth
Manage and develop relationships with existing customers, ensuring a high level of service and retention.
Identify opportunities to save customers time and money, adding real value and strengthening trust.
Actively spot upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
Drive new business activity through outreach, meetings and consistent pipeline management.
Take full ownership of sales forecasting, reporting and pipeline accuracy.
Build a clear commercial plan to increase revenue across the customer base.
Team Leadership
Lead, support and motivate a team of three, ensuring clear expectations and strong performance.
Oversee day-to-day activity, ensuring the team delivers at pace and with professionalism.
Commercial Strategy & Campaigns
Bring fresh ideas for campaigns, marketing angles and business development initiatives.
Analyse customer trends and commercial behaviours to maximise revenue opportunities.
Represent the business with confidence during customer visits, meetings and presentations.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in account management
Strong sales acumen and business development experience.
Ability to build rapport quickly with both new and existing customers.
Strong people-management experience, ideally leading a small team.
Confident, proactive and hungry to drive commercial growth.
Creative approach to outreach, campaigns and customer engagement.
Experience within waste, environmental services, logistics or a similar sector.
