Quest Employment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, independent restaurant and tearoom located within a popular farm-yard destination in Radlett. This highly regarded daytime venue has been serving the local community for over 30 years, offering freshly prepared breakfasts, lunches, light bites and traditional tearoom favourites in a busy and welcoming setting.

Due to the rural location and limited public transport links, candidates must be able to drive and have access to their own transport.

 

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Restaurant Supervisor to support the management team in overseeing daily front-of-house operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong hospitality professional looking for a leadership role with excellent work-life balance — no evening shifts and daytime-only hours.

You will be responsible for ensuring smooth service, maintaining high standards, and leading the front-of-house team during busy breakfast and lunch services.

 

Working Hours

  • Between 7:00am and 5:30pm

  • No evening service

  • Working 5 days out of 7, including weekends on a rota basis

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising front-of-house operations during service

  • Leading, motivating and supporting the FOH team

  • Ensuring excellent customer service standards are consistently delivered

  • Handling customer queries and resolving complaints professionally

  • Supporting with staff training and onboarding

  • Managing bookings, floor plans and service flow

  • Ensuring cleanliness and presentation standards are maintained

  • Assisting management with daily reports and cash handling procedures

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or strong Senior Waiter/Waitress ready to step up

  • Confident leading a team in a busy hospitality environment

  • Friendly, approachable and customer-focused

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Must drive due to location
